Pipsy’s Wee Care and Preschool LLC
Where wee ones come to have fun!

“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6

We believe all children are created uniquely and thrive when given a fun, safe environment in which to learn and grow. Our mission is to take a new approach to childcare by combining the best aspects of both in-home and licensed childcare facilities. We do so by incorporating large, center based interactive spaces where siblings and peers of different ages can learn from each other. Rather than having children in age segregated classrooms we believe young children benefit when learning through play with older children and older children benefit when learning to role model and care for younger children. We focus our structured preschool time on preparing for kindergarten by allowing children to gradually increase class participation as they age and advance academically. By using one classroom with one teacher starting at 3 years of age the children have the advantage of a consistent space, staff and curriculum year round to ensure they get the best opportunity to confidently transition to kindergarten. All of this is done with the support of a balanced nutrition program that follows the guidelines of the CACFP and an emphasis on fresh food daily as well as an indoor playground to ensure plenty of opportunity to use muscles and develop large motor skills.

By creating this unique new program our ultimate goal is to help each child reach the potential God created them with, in a safe and loving environment.

Tiffanie

Director

Tiffanie grew up in Des Moines where she graduated from Roosevelt High School. After high school she spent several years traveling and working as a nanny before she met her husband Brad. Because Brad grew up in Milo they found Indianola to be the perfect balance between small town and city living. When buying their first home in 2010, a lot of consideration was taken to find a home that allowed her to start an in home daycare. With a passion for serving the families in her community, Tiffanie quickly realized that she wanted to expand the program and incorporate the aspects of in home childcare she loved, with the aspects of a licensed center that would benefit the children and families of Indianola and surrounding areas. This began a journey toward a new faith based, licensed childcare facility with onsite preschool, large group interactions instead of age segregated classrooms, and a nutrition plan based on fresh/whole foods.

Brad and Tiffanie have 3 children, Tyler, who’s now married to Emma, Eveah, and Theo. When Eveah was born 5 weeks early at only 4lbs 7ozs Tiffanie began calling her Pipsy because she was such a wee little baby, so it only made sense to name her program Pipsy’s Wee Care as a constant reminder of just how precious of a miracle every single child in the program is.

When she’s not working Tiffanie loves to stay involved in her church, watch her kids in their activities, and do home improvement projects.

Lisa

Kitchen Manager

Lisa and her husband are Simpson College sweethearts. They left the area for careers, but came back to be with family and raise their children. They have been back in Indianola for about 9 years. Before putting roots down here, she spent 10 years as an environmental educator in the conservation field. She loves teaching children about the wonders of the natural world. Lisa pivoted in her career and focused on early childhood and worked for WeeCare Respite Nursery, where children ages 6 weeks to 6 yrs old came to have fun, learn and be cared for in a safe environment. Lisa then spent 5 years as a classroom associate at Irving Elementary. During that time she also shared her love of gardening with the students and teachers and tended the year-round school’s garden.

At Pipsy’s Lisa will be wearing many hats. She loves baking fresh bread and will be making fresh bread and muffins for the children. She will tend a small herb and veggie garden so kiddos can count out cherry tomatoes, green beans or bell peppers to enjoy at meal time. When Lisa is not preparing healthy food as Pipsy’s kitchen manager, she will be aiding the teachers with their needs, rocking babies, building block towers with 2 yr olds or helping prep curriculum for the preschool classes.

Lisa is very excited and feeling blessed to be part of the Pipsy team!

LaNette

LaNette Money has spent her career working at Walmart. Since becoming a grandma she found herself spending more time with children. When her first granddaughter was born she adjusted her work schedule to help watch her part time every day. When her daughter in law started Pipsy’s as an in home daycare LaNette helped her granddaughter transition to that program and frequently spent her days off with all the children there. As Pipsy’s started to prepare to move to a new facility LaNette knew she wanted to make a move as well and made the decision to retire and take on a new role where she will get to spend time every day loving on little ones.

Adrianna

Substitute Provider

Adrianna has lived in Indianola her whole life. She graduated from Indianola High School in 2021 and is now a sophomore at Simpson College, majoring in Elementary Education, with a minor in Coaching. At Simpson, she is a member of the Simpson College Dance Team, Wesley Service Scholar, the Education Club, Student Alumni Association, and holds an executive position for the Best Buddies club. In her free time, she loves to go shopping, collect Starbucks cups, dance, babysit, and hang out with friends and family. Adrianna wants to become a teacher one day because she thinks learning should be fun for every student in the classroom! She thinks students should have the opportunity to learn in the way that works for them, which can look different from student to student. Adrianna is very excited to be a part of the Pipsy’s team and to meet all of the new families! Even as a part-time worker, she looks forward to getting to know students and making learning fun for them.
